How do I report a mistake in a guide?
Every page is re-read whenever WinDirStat ships a new release, and anything that no longer matches the source is corrected on that pass. For help with the program itself, use the official channels below.
What gets fixed: wrong commands, menu names, shortcuts or defaults, outdated file names, broken links, and comparison rows that no longer match a vendor's own documentation. The editorial policy explains how each fix is checked.
Where do I get help with WinDirStat itself?
Drive Ledger is independent and cannot see your PC or your scans. The WinDirStat team takes bug reports and feature requests on the GitHub issue tracker, which Help > Report Bug/Feedback inside the program also opens, and its wiki is the online manual. News and background are on windirstat.net and the WinDirStat blog. Include your WinDirStat version from Help > About, your Windows version and the exact steps.
Can I reuse the guides?
Quote freely with a link back. The WinDirStat name and logo belong to the WinDirStat team; the program is licensed under the GNU GPL version 2 and its logo under Creative Commons BY 3.0, as its README explains.
